Daffy Duck and Mickey Mouse are characters most would never expect to see in North Korean art. The same goes for an image of DPRK leader Kim Jong Un holding an American flag.
But for one North Korean propagandist-turned-artist who now lives in the South, injecting these figures into his work is a small rebellion against a former life dedicated to glorifying the regime in Pyongyang — a rebellion that he is now seeking to spread via the blockchain.
