Swiss start-up Chain4Travel claims to have laid the foundations for the blockchain future of travel by hosting 230 key decisions makers from around the globe in Majorca this week.
Travel Un-Chained was organised to set out how the travel industry needs to prepare for the Web 3.0 evolution.
The audience comprised of 150 leading travel, tourism and technology companies representing 30 countries.
Chain4Travel was established by German entrepreneur Ralf Usbeck, who previously founded both Traveltainment and Peakwork.
The start-up is developing of a common blockchain-based network for all travel companies called Camino.
This will provide a stable and secure network of B2B and B2C travel products and tourism partners will be able to trade and purchase travel-related services and information in the network.
