Crypto group, chipmakers add more lobbyists

NEW BUSINESS: The Crypto Council for Innovation has added another outside firm to its lobbyists on retainer. The fintech and crypto trading advocacy group, whose members include Block (formerly Square), Coinbase, Andreessen Horowitz, Paradigm and Gemini, hired the Sternhell Group’s Alex Sternhell, Mike Ahern and Joseph Cortina back in May to lobby on financial services issues, according to a newly filed disclosure. The council is one of the industry’s newer lobbying groups, and hired its only other outside firm, Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, last summer.
