Bosch is leading a 28m project to develop secure mobile data open source technology for the next generation of automotive designs using distributed technologies including blockchain.
The 4moveID project is part of the GAIA-X European programme to develop standards and technological concepts for secure exchange of information between providers of mobility applications and their customers. The goal over the next three years is to create decentralized digital vehicle identities as a requirement for the mass use of electric vehicles, automated driving, and the establishment of connected cities.
The standards being developed will allow vehicles to securely and independently exchange information with other vehicles and their environment without an intermediary.
