SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Independent games studio SuperTeam Games has raised $10 million in its first round of funding to develop cross-platform sports games that utilize blockchain technology.

The financing was led by Griffin Gaming Partners, one of the world’s largest venture funds specializing in gaming. Other investors include Powerhouse Capital and individual contributors such as former Disney CEO Michael Eisner and MLS franchise owners Steve Kaplan and Bennett Rosenthal. SuperTeam’s games will be powered by Forte as part of a strategic partnership.
