Spain’s tax authority plans to require companies and taxpayers to declare cryptocurrency holdings and transactions annually starting in January 2023.
The new declaration forms would require both individuals and companies offering cryptocurrency management services to provide detailed information on holdings and transactions.
The proposed changes were opened to public consultation on Monday. They form part of the regulatory framework accompanying an anti-tax fraud law introduced in Spain last year.
